this was the biggest and most costly winch available & in stock at the local northern tool & equip.
its a pile of junk!
right out of the box the complete unit twisted and attaching on itself. the two threaded posts that hold the left have of the unit to the right half are totally inadequate.
i spent 4 5 hours begging and pleading with this ‘superwinch’ to attempt to get it to mount flat and true to a 1/4 steel plate i had to buy separately and i gave up on it.
the instruction manual is a poor chinese >english translation.
i ended up returning this to northern tool their cust. service is great!, and i bought a Champion 8000lb unit from the local tractor supply co. & saved $50. the champion is a beast for its price.
